Books – Ahmad Jumaa:
Hala Zayed, Minister of Health and Population, held a meeting on Tuesday with the Scientific Committee to Combat the New Corona Virus (Covid-19), headed by Dr. Hosni Hosni, to discuss developments in the treatment protocols for the emerging coronavirus and the epidemiological situation in Egypt.
This was done in the presence of Dr. Mohamed Hassani, Deputy Minister of Health for Public Health Initiatives Affairs, and members of the Scientific Committee to Combat Coronavirus (Dr. Jehan Al-Assal, Dr. Noha Assem, Dr. Akram Abdel- Bari, Dr. Ahmed Shawki, Dr. Amin Abdel-Baqi and Dr. Hamdi Ibrahim, Dr. Wagdy Amin), at the General Office of the Ministry of Health and Population.
Dr. Khaled Mujahid, advisor to the Minister of Health and Population for Media Affairs and official spokesman for the ministry, stated that the minister discussed with the scientific committee the developments of the protocols for the treatment of the emerging coronavirus, and what contained the adoption of new and more effective drugs in the treatment of those infected, highlighting the need to provide treatment for the emerging coronavirus and the doses. Specified for cases of home isolation according to the updated scientific protocols of the Ministry of Health.
Mujahid added that the minister thanked all members of the scientific committee headed by Dr. Hossam Hosni for their efforts to reach the best treatment protocols for the emerging corona virus, and emphasized that this committee, with its Egyptian human competencies, had a great impact on the success of the Egypt experience. Address the Coronavirus, in addition to working as a team with workers in the health sector of doctors, pharmacists, nurses, technicians and administrators to face the pandemic.
He noted that the minister highlighted the need for all medical teams to adhere to updated protocols for diagnosis and treatment for Coronavirus, and ordered the members of the scientific committee to periodically go in the field to hospitals to follow up on the implementation of the updated protocols, in coordination with directors of the directorates and agents of the Ministry of Health in the governorates, and aimed at intensifying the training programs for medical teams. In hospitals, to continue providing the best medical service to patients during the face of the Coronavirus pandemic.
Mujahid continued that during the meeting the final preparations for the start of the distribution of the Coronavirus vaccine were discussed, since a press conference will be held to publicize all the details related to the mechanism of distribution of the vaccine, which will be delivered citizens according to eligible groups based on the recommendations of the Scientific Committee to combat Coronavirus.
In a related context, “Mujahid” pointed out that the minister highlighted the importance of citizens’ commitment to precautionary and preventive measures to limit the spread of the new Corona virus, the most important being avoiding meetings, maintaining social distancing between people in public places, and adhere to the use of a mask and follow the instructions on how to use and dispose of it.
