On 12 September 2019, the Qasr al-Nil Prosecutor had ordered the release of Khaled and Karim Al-Sobky on bail of £ 10,000 each pending the ongoing investigations with them on charges of drugs abuse.
The law firm of Ashraf Abdel Aziz and Amir Murtaza Mansour assumed the defense.

Suspension of the trial
The Cairo Criminal Court, held in Abdeen, decided in July 2020 to suspend the trial of the two sons of film producer Ahmed Al-Sobky, “Khaled and Karim”, for their drug possession charges until the decision on your defense request is resolved by the court’s response.
With Al-Sobky’s two sons sentenced to 15 years in prison, “Masrawy” tried to reach the great film producer, but he did not answer his phone.
