Today Saturday we celebrate the anniversary of the birth of the artist Mu’tazila, Nahed Yousry, who was born in Cairo on February 6, 1947.

His real name is Nahid Hassan Shoukry, and he was born into a family of some of whose members worked in art, since his sister is the author and actress Samia Shukry.
– He started his career at 16 through fashion shows.
– His film debut was through films such as: “Fun Beach” in 1967, “Women without tomorrow”, “Knights of love”, “Adawiya” and “The three prisoners” in 1968, among others.
– After that, I moved to Beirut to work in the early 1970s, and there he starred in Lebanese cinema in seduction roles, and in no time became one of the stars of Lebanese cinema.
– Gained great fame through the film “The Lady of the Black Moons” (1971) with Hussein Fahmy and Adel Adham, written and directed by Samir Khoury, and the film witnessed great audacity, even some countries banned it.
– In 1974, she suffered a terrible accident that caused the death of a friend who accompanied her, and a slight deformation of her face, which made her decide to withdraw from art.
His last film during that period was “The Devil Knocks at Your Door”, which was screened in 1976.
– He was absent from the art scene after the accident for more than ten years, until he returned in the mid-eighties with films that included: “Al-Mutamein, Al-Prince, and the Moon Will Never Go”.
– Among her work on television: “Rose Al-Youssef, the orphan, I forgave you, my sister, and the treasure”, as she wrote some nightly programs.
He retired from acting again in 1990, and after that, rumors spread that he had disallowed his film experience, but denied it during his honor in Kuwait in 2010.
– Nahid Yusri’s last work, the movie “The Disappearance of a Wife”, written and directed by Yassin Ismail Yassin, adapted from the American film Vanishing Act 1986.
