The Minister of Information in charge, Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi, stated that the Cabinet confirmed the Kingdom’s effort to support the stability of world oil markets, noting in this context what the Kingdom announced of its commitment to the recent agreement (OPEC Plus) regarding the reduction of crude oil production, and an initiative The Kingdom will reduce its production in June, with an additional voluntary amount of one million barrels per day, as well as its efforts in accordance with customers to reduce their production in May, from the target level.

The Council indicated that the Kingdom aims from these initiatives to urge the countries participating in the OPEC Plus agreement, and other producing countries, to adhere to the reduction rates established for them, and to provide a greater reduction in production, to help restore the desired balance of world oil markets.

The Cabinet promised to invite the Kingdom to host the Yemen 2020 Donor Conference on June 2, under the direction of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, His Royal Highness Crown Prince and with the participation of the United Nations, that this is an extension of its humanitarian and development contribution globally and in Yemen in particular, and an affirmation of its leadership role in supporting Yemen and raising the human suffering of the Yemeni fraternal people, as it is the first donor of Yemen historically, especially its humanitarian and relief assistance and aid to Yemeni refugees and development assistance through reconstruction and support to the Yemen Central Bank in the past five years.

Al-Qasabi indicated that the Council reviewed a series of reports on the evolution of events and their progress at the regional and international levels, once again welcoming the Kingdom to the announcement of the formation of the new Iraqi government, its position with Iraq and their willingness to work with the new Iraqi government on the basis of cooperation, mutual respect, historical ties and common interests, in the interest of Within the framework of strengthening relations between the two countries and two brother peoples in all the fields, in a way that improves the security of the region and achieves its stability.

The Cabinet reviewed the items on its agenda, including the topics in which the Shura Council participated in its study, and what the Council for Economic and Development Affairs, the Council for Political and Security Affairs, the General Committee of the Council achieved of Ministers and the Council of Experts in the Cabinet.

The Council concluded that:

Firstly :

Approval of a memorandum of understanding in the field of civil protection and civil defense between the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the government of the Kyrgyz Republic.

Secondly:

Approval of a memorandum of understanding in the field of Islamic affairs between the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Islamic Sheikh in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Third :

The authorization of the Minister of Information, or his representative, to negotiate with the part of Kazakhstan on a draft memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Information in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Ministry of Information and Social Development in the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of media cooperation, sign it and then send the final signed copy, to complete the regular procedures.
