The Covid-19 is clearly used by President Trump as a rhetorical weapon for the club. At the end of the election it became clear that Dr. Fawcett was more political than he portrayed when he necessarily supported Biden.
Next, some parts of the public health center want comprehensive vaccinations and other policies such as mask command and rolling lockdown. The high “case” number allows them to pursue these policies. High positive test numbers also make a high R-note, which is a measure of infectivity.
