These are the two promotional images of Doritos Double XP that I previously received from an anonymous source from Call of Duty 2020 Black Ops Cold War. I was too concerned about copyright issues to post them before, but since CharlieIntel shared them, I guess they are safe. pic.twitter.com/yvvjH7CvKU

While nothing has been confirmed at this stage, leaks have suggested it may take Modern warThe guts of a step further. The title is supposed to explore the Vietnam War from the perspectives of the US, South Vietnam, and the Viet Cong, with excursions to other parts of the world. The game could also be the product of corporate drama, with Treyarch apparently taking over after Raven and Sledgehammer fought for the title.
Treyarch co-director Jason Blundell also left the studio after 13 years, though his March departure was late enough in development that it hasn’t affected the upcoming game in any major way.
Whichever game comes along, the announcement will come relatively late. Activision has historically announced Call of Duty games on or before E3 in June. However, with E3 canceled, the publisher has not had to stick to that schedule. An announcement could also be affected by the expected fall releases of PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X, provided the game takes advantage of them. Don’t be surprised if Activision takes its time, then, no matter how accurate this leak is.
