U.S. President Donald Trump said Friday that he has not been a true Baron Cohen fan – just before the British comedian forced his lawyer, Rudy Giuliani, to make a bizarre revelation through a clip of a new Borat movie.
Asked about the clip – which shows Giuliani in a fake “interview” with an attractive and flirtatious young woman – Trump told reporters aboard Air Force One that he did not know what happened.
“But years ago, you know, he tried to scam me. And I was the only one who spoke no way. He is a fictional person. And I don’t find it funny. “
Trump said the incident happened about 15 years ago, referring to Baron Cohen’s 2003 interview with him while Ali G was playing, where the Vannab gangster gave Trump his most recent business venture – special ice cream gloves.
“For me, it was creepy,” Trump said.
The plot of the new Borat film is on the cover, while word of Baron Cohen’s recent outrageous attacks on unsatisfied participants has spread like wildfire.
On Wednesday, Giuliani angrily refused after he “interviewed” a young woman in a fake hotel room.
In the film, the encounter puts the old New York ex-mayor in a very compromising position, grabbing his pants from under the bedroom.
Giuliani said Wednesday that the scene was “completely fabricated.”
“I was sticking to my shirt after taking the recording equipment. Before, during or at any time after the interview I was never unfit.
“It’s a stone-cold lie if the true Baron Cohen doesn’t suggest it.”
Trump made the remarks after taking off from Pensacola, Florida, on his way to West Palm Beach.
The Republican president, former reality TV star and real estate mogul began pushing for a sharp last-ditch recapture in Florida on Friday.
Voting shows him well behind Democratic challenger Joe Biden ahead of the Nov. 3 presidential election.
