Does Villanelle eat more than the average television character? Not according to Jodie Comer

Killing Eva tells the story of two women who are quite obsessed with each other. There’s also the fact that one of them is an almost psychopathic assassin and the other is a former MI6 agent. Add Sandra Oh and Jodie Comer, and it’s an addictive series. An interesting aspect that Jodie Comer pointed out is that she eats a fair amount like Villanelle on camera. And while she is no more than an average human, she is different from what viewers often see on television.

Villanelle eats a lot on screen, fixing a ‘mania’ for Jodie Comer

When fans meet Villanelle, she is in an ice cream parlor. Then, from there, Villanelle is seen eating shepherd’s pie, more ice cream, cake icing, iced coffee, and more. Now for Season 3, it’s completely normal to see Villanelle eating on screen. But Comer prefers a kill scene to a scene where he is eating.

“I love to eat, don’t get me wrong … I love to eat,” said Comer at the Happy sad confused with Josh Horowitz in April 2019. However, when recording from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. or later, it’s not that much fun. However, Villanelle’s eating habits make up a favorite motive that Comer has.

“What I also enjoy [eating] on screen is my biggest favorite reason, you know when you’re watching a show or a movie and there’s an actress moving a pea around the plate, “Comer said. “And then I am so drawn to the fact that they are avoiding eating the food that I can’t focus on the scene.”

Villanelle seems to eat more than other characters on TV, but she’s only eating normally

Comer is aware that Villanelle’s food is a bit remarkable for a television character.

“Food is something we enjoy in life and I feel that when Killing Eva It came out, everyone was saying, ‘She’s eating a lot,’ “Comer said.” And it’s like, um, she’s probably just eating like a normal person would.

And while it’s more natural, it makes filming them difficult.

“But there is also something very, something natural. I mean, it’s difficult. We had a scene in Series 2 with pasta, ”Comer said, talking about a particular day in Season 2 that will live like the day that Comer almost died of pasta. She said it was “really very gloomy” to have to eat all day. And, of course, she almost drowned to death.

Comer had a close call with some pasta in season 2

Comer also told Entertainment Weekly this story. And now that Season 2 has come and gone, it’s easy to know what scene Comer was talking about. While Villanelle is assigned to have MI6 approach Aaron Peel, she is posing as Billie, a fall from New York high society. Aaron Peel takes Billie to lunch, invites her to Italy with him, and then forces her to eat pasta.

Comer described Villanelle eating the pasta “in a very grotesque way” because she is “trying to prove something about something.” The typical Villanelle is presenting a show like Billie and her pasta.

“She is playing, being her usual childish self, and the pasta was extremely dry. And it was extremely thick. I was shoveling it, and then it just shot up my throat and then I was suffocating, “Comer recalled. “They must have him on camera: a doctor came in and managed to get him out, but my life definitely passed before me … I just remember standing in front of the other actor and looking at him, and he thought he was making a strange acting choice. So yeah, it’s a completely ruined pasta for me. “

Comer probably can’t look at the carbonara the same way again, but at least Comer’s brother was drawn to her near-tragedy.

“[H]It was like, ‘I love this. Of all the things that could have killed Villanelle, it was a mouthful of pasta, ‘”Comer said. “It was my most dangerous moment in Villanelle.”
