DMX and Vernouz by Snoop Dogg: the most unforgettable moments

On these canine summer days, this highly anticipated battle of Verzuz became one of the history books with no less than two charismatic thoroughbred masters who led a national gangsta rap movement from the East Coast to the West Coast: DMX and Snoop Dogg. This era can easily be considered the golden age of hip hop.

When Verzuz viewers witnessed another battle that was delayed a few minutes, but was worth it, there was a slight delay before the live showdown began with drinks served by Ciroc. However, it was worth the wait. Check out the highlights below!

1. Welcome to the gangster party

As both veterans moved the crowd throughout the night, a group of celebrities gathered to watch and show their appreciation for Charlamagne tha God, DeSean Jackson, Wayno, Timbaland, Swizz Beatz, Diddy, LaLa, Keyshia Cole, LaMelo Ball, Fabolous , Jadakiss, and more as Snoop and DMX requested that the crowd send flame emojis if they vibrated.

2. One of the most watched battles in Verzuz

The room was full of fans, colleagues, family and friends. The party got so thick that the live reached the capacity of 1.9 million followers at its peak. That shows how longevity can never be understood for a quick career.

3. The intermediate

You can never underestimate a dog in a fight. Both Snoop and DMX offered high intensity performance for Verzuz viewers, prompting the need for an intermission before the second half of battle.

4. Welcome to the Beach: Uncle Snoop’s C-Ride

Snoop takes him back to 213, as he waits for the DMX to finish his break, and gives viewers a trip to LBC with his legendary C-walk which is always a treat for the crowd.

5. What they want from us

This was a time when everyone could get together for both rappers as they shared their experiences about the gift and the curse of a dog’s loyalty. DMX launched a hit with the classic “What These B ** ches Want” with Sisqo. While the Snoop DO Double G was helping as the over-the-top man, showing true sportsmanship, he then sums up his trip to Brazil with producer and songwriter Pharrell Williams with his intentional hymn “Beautiful”. Before leaving their records, they respected and yelled at their wives who have been muses in their careers.

6. Raw letters and true stories

Ending the battle, Dark Man X released one of his crudest singles in his “Slippin ‘” catalog, showing more lyricism in the battle between the two. Snoop had an ace card with one of his previous records that helped him with his breakthrough as the megastar with “Murder was the case.”

7. Doggy Dogg World

Bringing together a successful night, both rappers reflected on the different positions they have played in the culture, as well as influencing each other’s lives. Snoop recognized DMX for studying the game and unifying the sound of both coasts in his single “It’s All Good”. When X dropped his jewelry from the streets, you can see that the two are more similar than you think.

8. Grand Champs

You have to respect when you must respect when two legends arise in similar circumstances. As children of the Golden Age of hip hop, we appreciate the work that both DMX and Snoop have done as leaders for over 20 years.

9. Drinks from Ciroc

And of course, we couldn’t have a Verzuz battle without the main drink of the event. Ciroc was handed over to Snoop and X all night long and that made the battle even more entertaining when they started to feel it!
