Disneyland Resort Announces Completely Smoke-Free Backstage Areas For Cast Members Before Reopening

Last March, Disney Parks announced that all smoking areas within the park at Walt Disney World and Disneyland would be phased out, to be replaced by designated smoking areas outside the park entrances. Now, Disneyland Resort has announced in a memo to its cast members that all areas of the backstage must be completely smoke free in order to allow for greater physical distance throughout the property. This new policy also includes off-site locations. You can read the full announcement below:

Cast Members looking for health trainers or non-smoking resources can access the “Be Well … Be Smoke Free” program and other resources to quit smoking through the Cast Member Center.

At this time, Disneyland Resort is closed, with select restaurants and shops open in the Downtown Disney District. A new reopening date has not been announced.
