All four theme parks at Walt Disney World will scale their operating hours in September.
Starting on Tuesday, September 8, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Animal Kingdom, and Magic Kingdom will all close one hour early, while Epcot will close two hours early. The new parks are available on the Disney World website.
Disney declined to comment on why the theme park hours are short. Due to the pandemic, Disney has added new security measures, including limiting the number of visitors allowed in the parks and increasing the cleaning of their parks.
Disneyland and Disney World were shut down in March due to the coronavirus. Disney World in Florida reopened in July, while Disneyland in California remains closed. In its Q3 revenue this month, Disney reported that its theme parks division took a $ 3.5 billion hit to its operating revenue due to the pandemic.
