As the Blue Fairy said to Pinocchio, always let your conscience be your guide. Unless your conscience is telling you to nibble on yourself while walking unmasked through an amusement park right now, in which case, that voice may not work in your best interest. After the reopening of Disney World Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom last week in Orlando amid the current coronavirus pandemic, the parks have apparently had to update attendee guidelines in real time in response to, you know, things that people usually do in a theme park. According to Variety, fan blogs have noticed that Disney visitors, who must wear masks, are now also unable to eat or drink and move around the park at the same time.
“Facial coverage is required for all guests (ages 2 and up) and cast members,” reads now in Disney World’s “Facial Coverage” guidelines. “Bring your own face covers and wear them at all times, except when eating or swimming. You can remove the covering from your face while actively eating or drinking, but you must remain stationary and maintain proper physical distance. ” And for those of you looking to get around the rules by eating while swimming, come on, guys. According to CNBC, Florida reported more than 12,523 cases of COVID-19 on Saturday, the fifth consecutive day that the state registered more than 10,000 new cases.
