Disney + has released a preview of the new Marvel series Marvel’s 616, the new docuseries that will debut on the streaming service this fall. That preview comes in the form of two clips: the first clip is from Community the episode of the star Gillian Jacobs “Higher, Later, Faster”, which analyzes the impact of women in Marvel Comics. You can see that clip above. The second clip of Marvel’s 616 comes from the episode “Lost and Found” who sees comedian / actor Paul Scheer (The League, how was this done? podcast) exploring the “forgotten” characters of Marvel Comics. PT for the virtual panel Comic-Con @ Home; “A look inside ‘Marvel’s 616′”, where they will discuss the making of this new original Disney + docuseries.
‘Marvel’s 616’ explores how the rich legacy of Marvel stories, characters, and creators exists in the world outside your window. Each documentary, directed by a unique filmmaker, explores the intersections of storytelling, pop culture, and fandom within the Marvel Universe. Films in this anthology series will cover topics including global Marvel artists, pioneering women in Marvel Comics, the discovery of Marvel’s “forgotten” characters, and much more.
