Disney is expanding its layoffs to about 32,000 workers as the coronavirus epidemic continues to haunt the theme park industry.

In an SEC filing released on Wednesday, the company announced that thousands of employees would lose their jobs in the first half of fiscal year 2021. The majority of these layoffs will be from its parks, experiences and products department and will include the company’s 28,000 workers previously announced in September.

Prolonged closures at Disney’s California-based theme park and limited presence in its open gardens have forced the company to reduce its operations. In addition, Oct Kto. By the time, about 37,000 employees were not expected to be laid off, they had been laid off.

Oct. By now, Disney employed about 20,000,000 people, including about 0% full-time workers and 20% part-time employees globally. Out of its total employees, about 155,000 employees work as part of parks, experiences and products.

All theme parks in California have remained shutter, as county coronavirus cases are banned from reopening state guidelines until they fall below 1 per 100,000 – a target that will make it difficult for cases to grow nationwide.

As of Wednesday, Orange County, where Disneyland’s two California parks are located, is seeing 20.2 cases per 100,000 people.
