Diablo 3 season 21 start time and patch notes

On June 23, Blizzard released the latest patch for Devil 3, before his new season. On July 3 at 8 p.m. EDT / 5 p.m. PDT, players can jump into Season 21, called Trials of Tempests. This new season offers new armor sets for some classes and a new elemental power bonus.

Here’s a quick look at all the new content in patch 2.6.9, and the upcoming Trials of Tempests season. For a complete list of patch notes, scroll down.

A storm of elements

As in the past few seasons, Season 21 offers a new seasonal effect, constantly changing the player’s gaming experience. For Trials of Tempests, players constantly channel elemental power. Every 90 seconds, players will rain meteorites from the sky, breathe lightning, summon walls of flame, unleash tornadoes of energy, or crush enemies with snowballs.

These effects could change how and when players tackle large groups of enemies during Season 21.

New gear sets

The last seasons of Devil 3 They have introduced new gear sets. This season features the Gears of Dreadlands for Demon Hunters and the Masquerade of the Burning Carnival for Necromancers.

Gears of Dreadlands has a new Momentum mechanic. When you deal damage with a primary ability, you gain Momentum, which increases the damage of your primary ability, up to a maximum of 20 seconds. Using Strafe also automatically triggers your primary ability, reducing damage and increasing movement speed. Using the full set, all primary abilities deal 10,000% increased damage.

The Masquerade of the Burning Carnival set makes your Simulacrums unharmed, gains all runes and refreshes their cooldown upon death. Having a Simulacrum outside also dramatically decreases incoming damage and splits the damage done to you between you and the Simulacrum. With a full Set, Bone Spear deals 10,000% increased damage and triples it for Simulacrums.

Both classes also saw major changes to some of their legendary items, and the Necromancer also saw major changes to some skill mechanics.

New and recurring cosmetics

Each season, players can complete difficult tasks to earn some cosmetic items. In Season 21, Blizzard is bringing in some Season 9 cosmetics, while adding brand new items.

Returning items include some Transfiguration Kits, a portrait frame, and a pet. New items for Trials of Tempests include the new Stupendous Contraption mascot and the Industrial Portrait Frame.

The Great Gadget is arguably the most interesting item on offer here, and it appears to be a walking robot with some kind of lizard caught in a tube. It conforms to a traditionally “steampunk” environment, which is not exactly common in the Diablo world. Players will need to complete the season trip to collect these new items.
