Buckingham Palace announced in a statement: “The wedding was performed in accordance with all relevant government guidelines,” amid the coronavirus pandemic. Close members of the royal family were present, including the Queen, Prince Philip, and Beatrice’s parents, Prince Andrew and Sarah, Duchess of York.

The queen is reported to have left the wedding ceremony early to bestow the knighthood on Captain Tom Moore at Windsor Castle. Moore, 100, was honored with the endowment ceremony after raising millions of dollars for coronavirus relief for the National Health Service in the UK.
