Designer Vera Wang celebrated her 71st birthday with photos of her stunning figure.
On Friday, Wang, whose clothes have been worn by everyone from Ashley Graham to Kim Kardashian to ex-first daughter Barbara Bush, marked her birthday, and Pride Month, by posting three Instagram photos. In them, she wore a black sports bra, green leggings, and a pair of aviator sunglasses, her black hair cascading down her waist. “PRIDE Workout,” Wang wrote, showing off her multi-colored manicure.
Even as a former competitive figure skater, Wang has expressed disgust at exercising. In May, Harper’s Bazaar posted a photo of the designer, famous for her wedding dresses, sitting on a ribbon in white heels. The image, he told the magazine, “represents my personal conflict between loving sportswear but fearing the treadmill.”
That month, when an Instagram fan asked Wang about the secret of her tight abs, she replied, “Work, sleep, a vodka cocktail, not much sun,” according to Well-informed person.
Lately, the designer has been tweeting about important events: She honored George Floyd, who died in police custody in May with the Twitter hashtag #RIPGeorgeFloyd and the message: “You changed the world. Peace. Justice. Respect.”
And Wang celebrated Breonna Taylor’s June 5 birthday, who was shot dead by police in Kentucky, tweeting: “Breonna was a front-line medical worker. The police shot her eight times at her home. They had the wrong address. No one has been charged. You can support his family here ”by attaching a GoFundMe page.
