Demi Moore says she was ‘changed’ by her marriages

Demi Moore is talking about a mistake she made during her three failed marriages.

“For me, I had changed many times to adapt to what I thought someone else wanted,” he said Thursday on SiriusXM’s “Jess Cagle Show.” “It is that idea that we are somewhat conditioned to work to be desired, but we are not supposed to have our own desires.”

The “GI Jane” star was married to Freddy Moore from 1981 to 1985, Bruce Willis from 1987 to 2000, and Ashton Kutcher from 2005 to 2013.

“I think it is a process of learning to love yourself, accept who you are as you are,” he said.

Moore, 57, said it is “commendable” to really work through relationships in our “spare time.”

She added: “To go through the journey of truly honoring the love that brought you together in the first place and really giving all you have, but you cannot do that without really that love and acceptance of yourselves.”

In 2019, Moore revealed that writing her memoir, “Inside Out,” helped her with self-acceptance and self-esteem.

“The most important part was when I had to go through all my stuff and started to gain an incredible depth of appreciation,” he said in an InStyle essay. “Everything I had perceived as negative or bad, I now appreciate.”
