Days after announcing her engagement to Max Ehrich, Lovato says her life is in the best place and she is reflecting on those two years after her near-fatal overdose.

Lovato and Ehrich got engaged on July 23 after four months of dating. The couple shared photos of their intimate beach proposal. Ehrich presented Lovato with a $ 1 million custom rock.
In a heartwarming Instagram post, Lovato says she fell in love with Ehrich the moment she met him and credits him for showing her unconditional love.
“I have never felt so unconditionally loved by someone in my life (other than my parents) and all their flaws. You never pressure me to be anything other than myself. And you make me want to be the best version of myself. I am honored to accept your hand in marriage, ”he writes.

Ehrich’s proposal comes a day before Lovato’s second anniversary of his near-fatal overdose in 2018. Lovato was outspoken about drug addiction and an eating disorder that she overcame through intense treatment and a sober trainer, but relapsed afterward. from other personal problems.
In a new Instagram post, Lovato says she blessed and reflects on how much her life has changed in two years.

While on treatment in 2018, Lovato realized that she needed to take control of all aspects of her life, including her career. In a 2020 interview with Ellen DeGeneres, Lovato explained that her management team controlled everything about her, including her eating habits.
DeGeneres explained that his team was briefed by the Lovato team to hide any food, drinks, or snacks that contained sugar.
While traveling, Lovato’s management team would not allow her to order room service.
“They would take the phone out of my room so I couldn’t order room service. If there was fruit in my room, they would take it out because it is extra sugar.
