Delta Gifts employee who fought a first-class trip anywhere in the world this month with Covid-19

“I was constantly on the phone,” Janes said. “I was just wondering how we could get Janice back home, and that’s it.”

Janice and Janice shared their experiences in an emotional interview with CNN’s Brooke Baldwin on Wednesday, detailing the exam that lasted months after Janice was immediately taken to the room.

Janice told CNN she has spent about 115 days in hospital and rehabilitation clinics recovering from covid-19 since it began in March. She said she was ventilated and in a coma for 57 days.

The story of the 59-year-old attracted attention after being profiled in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Janice is an Atlanta-based employee of Delta Air Lines and lives in Miami.

Janice told CNN that she did not realize until she read the article that staff at the medical facility had repeatedly told her Janice was close to death.

“I wasn’t listening to it, I didn’t have it, because my mind can’t wrap around the fact that it just didn’t stay there.”

Janice credited her confidence and the advice of her general practitioner for being optimistic about Janice.

She said Ga became close friends with the nurses who provided care for one of her twins.

“She was my only comment. I said, ‘Well, her heart is strong, and I won’t give up until she stops breathing. I’ll never tell you to get out of that vent.’ Janice said.

At the end of the interview, the sisters received a message from Del Bastian CEO Ed Bastian.

“Please let us know at the time Janice was in a coma, we (including myself) are following her progress every day and including her in our prayers,” the statement said. He is a miracle and we are proud of his strength in this fight. “Broadcast by CNN’s Baldwin.

He continued, “Also let her know that I can fly anywhere in the world when I can travel, I can’t wait to send her and her sister on a first class trip. Merry Christmas!”

The pair were moved by gestures, as they usually travel to celebrate birthdays and were unable to because of Janice’s condition and ongoing epidemic. Janice thanked Bastian and expressed the same appreciation for family and strangers for helping and keeping him in his prayers.

“When you wake up from a coma after two months, you can’t move, you can’t walk, you can’t scratch your head,” Janice said.

She added, “To come to this appointment with you right now, for me it makes me feel like when I wake up every morning, ‘Thank God for another day.’

Janice and Janes promised to tell Baldwin when and where they would travel, and Janes presented the audience with a closed idea.

“Please, just wear your mask. You should never face this in your life. Just wear a mask.”
