Sorry for the English in this tirade:
This was the last role-playing game I will play since Square Enix. I absolutely hated it after spending enough hours on it. And I love my role-playing games (I finished the first two AND just a few hours ago). The start (and coincidentally the demo part of the game on Switch) was great. The first experience of traveling the world, finding new locations, characters, etc. IT WAS FUN. But after that … doing it practically again for storytelling reasons and without much change and with those increasingly stereotypical characters, who, well, not all, but most of them, never grew up really made me resent this game. Also … Square has a lot of money and does a lot graphically with his games … and some of the Dragon Quests dungeons still look like a first draft. Or like … Minecraft without its charm. Locked, empty and boring. There is one, where all the trick is, that everything is golden. And it looks good … for 1 second, until you realize that everything is cubed without even a wall other than 90 ° s. The dungeon design really looks like it took the old NES graphics and remade them in 3D. I’m still done, but can I name a few dozen better RPGs, including some from Square Enix. Do I still need to talk about music? About the drama because it was so bad on PS4?
This game … is so overrated and BAD. The worst RPG I have played in a long time.
Oh, I don’t mind DQ in general. I played a lot of DQ7, DQ8 and DQ9 and all ranged from good to good.
