‘Dancing with the Stars’: Derek Huff replaces Lane Goodman – Season 29


Dancing with the Stars One is losing a more familiar face, but add another, ahead of season 29.

ABC announced Tuesday that series veteran leader Derek Huff will serve as a judge for the next cycle. He will replace Lane Goodman, who has been unable to do justice this season due to coronavirus travel restrictions; Goodman, however, will be involved in “a different capacity” while living in the UK

“The show has always been and will remain incredibly special to me,” Huff said in a statement. “Coming back makes me want to come home, and I can’t be more excited to be back in the bedroom.”

Hugh F, who will sit with returning chiefs Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli, has won six Mirab balls since his time as a pro partner (with competitors Brooke Burke, Nicole Scherzinger, Jennifer Gray, Kelly Pickler, Amber Riley and Bindi Irwin). He has been a judge for NBC The world of dance For the last three seasons with Jennifer Lopez and Ne-Yo, and that’s also a fix on ABC’s latest Disney Family Singles Special.

And this will be the second time someone has sat behind Huff Brothers DanceJudge Table: Julian Huff, who previously served as a pro dancer on the show, later judged the contestants during seasons 19 to 21.
