On Sunday at Levi’s Stadium, the San Francisco 49ers began a difficult task.

The list of teams returning to the Super Bowl after losing it last year is not long. The list of teams that have shaken up that loss Wins Subsequent Super Bowls are also short.

San Francisco began its quest to capture those historical trends. After taking an early lead, the 49ers fell to the Arizona Cardinals, 24-22, and that loss exposed some problem areas that could potentially prevent them from making another deep deep playoff run in 2020.

Things started well. While running back Rahim Mostert took a short pass and y for a score in the first quarter. Flying the yard, the 49ers were 10-0 up, and it looked like the team could win.

But the rest of the San Francisco offensive performance will only make one more touchdown, which was a bit disappointing.

In last year’s Super Bowl march, 49 people made it to the NFC. Led by, averaged 144.1 yards per game. San Francisco came up short of that mark against the Cardinals on Sunday, though not by a ton. The team’s 123 yards and 9.9 yards per carry look respectable enough.

But the back trio of San Francisco’s Rahim Mostert, Tavin Coleman and Jericho Mann Kinno, the Cardinals were less impressive against the run defense than they were in the 24th. NFL A year ago. It carries 98 yards with 22 backs, it’s not terrible, but not even the 49ers accustomed to the ground. Especially in a closely fought game.

The San Francisco Inconsistent Run Game in Week 1 was exemplified by one of the game’s biggest plays. Early in the second quarter, with the Niners leading 10-7, the team faced a fourth-goal from within the 1-yard line. With a powerful offensive line and a Pro Bowl fullback, it was a position that was money for San Francisco last year.

It wasn’t Sunday. Mustart was cut short of the goal line, and 49 people walked away.

With less speed than the top efficiency of the run game, extra pressure was put on the passing attack of the 49ers. And at first glance, quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo didn’t have a terrible game. The seventh-year veteran threw for 259 yards and two scores without interruption and posted a 103.0 passing rating.

But a long catch and run by Geroppolo’s half-passing yard mustert and a y1 yard catch by fullback Kyle Juschik. He completed only 57.6 percent of his 33 pass attempts – a key factor in converting to just two of his 11 third-down attempts in San Francisco.

Some circumstances were worth working against Geropolo in this game. He did not have a second-year receiver Debo Samuel or Rookie Brandon Ayuk. Star Tight & George Kettle was soon ruled out with a foot injury. And per 95.7 Game in San Francisco, Head coach Kyle Shanah took part in blaming for the performance of the crime.

“[Garoppolo] There were some good plays, “he said.” … It’s better to play. We have to play better in crime, and it starts with me. “

Don’t worry Kyle. You were already ahead.

Shanahan has long been known as one of the game’s latest playlists. But for the second time in many games, especially in the second half, their play-calling gender was questionable. Yes, the run game wasn’t excellent on Sunday, but leaving him completely at the end of the crucial drive was confusing considering the team’s injuries on the receiver.

After Kittle returned to the field early in the second half, he did not aim for the rest of the game. Not once.

There is more than surprise.

With a flurry of offenses against the NFL’s worst defense last year, there was little room left for the NFC’s best defense errors in 2019. But that side of the Niners ball didn’t turn into an error-free performance. It’s far away.

The 49ers actually surrendered more yards (404) defensively than the Cardinals averaged (402) the season before. Arizona had 11 more first downings than San Francisco, converting his half-third down effort and catching the ball three minutes longer than the 49ers.

Cardinals quarterback Killer Murray gasped on 49 consecutive scum ram balls, which the team’s high altitude sped up to 91 yards on the ground. Wide receiver Dandre Hopkins completely destroyed Niners Cornwack’s Emanuel Moseley in the coverage, stumbling on 14 of 16 goals for 151 yards.

Like crime, coaching staff is to blame. Defensive coordinator Robert Saleh probably made little effort to adjust to what the Cardinals were doing. He has not received constant security assistance. No spy was put on Murray.

Even though it didn’t work, the 49ers just kept doing it. And as a result, they beat.

This saying is not necessary to press the panic button. The return of Samuel and Ayuk will help the passing game. The defense remains the NFL’s most talented. One would think that Shanhan and Saleh would learn from anyone who has missed out on this loss, and it is not surprising to see a team consisting of zero pre-ason no outings after se fisson.

However, the 49ers also don’t have much room for error. Not in 2020. NFC West could be the toughest division in the NFL this season. The 49ers are already the game of the Cardinals and arch rival Seattle Seahawks, who pasted the Atlanta Falcons in Week 1.

San Francisco’s position as a defending NFC champion also paints a goal on his back.

Luckily, Week 2 makes a comeback as the 49ers are on the road against the New York Jets team which could be the worst in the league, followed by another tilt at MetLife Stadium in the week against the New York Giants.

Because of that tension, Ninars should be given a chance to overcome the concerns that became apparent in Week 1. Being healthier and more efficient in crime. To tighten things up on defense.

Losing the first game of the season is not a cause for panic.

Given how They lost it, though? That’s a real concern, especially for a team looking to travel to Tampa in February.
