Patrick Duffy sees Linda Pearl as a ‘gift from COVID’.
The 711-year-old actor, who played Bobby Ewing in Las Vegas, began dating 65-year-old Linda earlier this year during a coronavirus lockdown and admitted that his romance had evolved under developed circumstances.
“This is the gift that COVID has given me – Linda Pearl is the woman of my life,” the actor told Xtra this week.

His wife, Carlin Roger, died of a heart attack about four years ago, and he was not looking for a relationship when he reappeared in Linda.
However, he is now convinced that their growing romance is the result of ‘fate’.
Patrick – who married Carlin until his death in 1974 in 2017 – added: ‘I wasn’t looking for him. I didn’t feel like I needed it … and then luck just increased! And change perspective.
‘We started texting and then faceting and then zooming… we zoomed in for two to three hours every single night … you should know someone really well when you do that.’

The actor loved chatting with Linda during the actor castdown, and once the ban was eased, he wasted no time in running to see her.
He shared: ‘At the end of this month and a half, we just felt something different than casual friendship, so I filled my car, I drove 20 hours, and I was at the door of his house.
‘I asked him if I could kiss him, and we’ve been together ever since.’

Patrick had previously admitted that his romance with Linda came as a complete surprise.
The actor explained that, after the death of his wife in 2017, he never imagined falling in love.
He confessed: ‘I never thought this would happen again in a minute. I never thought I would feel this way again. ‘
Those guys were dating that Happy Days actress earlier this month.
New love: Duffy, 71, revealed that he and his old friend, Happy Days’ Linda Pearl, 65, started dating after people said they came in contact years ago.
Duffy said of her new love, ‘I’m in a very happy relationship.’
The road trip to see him was long.
He said, ‘I loaded my car and drove 20 hours and reached the door of his house to see if it was real.’
Duffy seemed happy with the state of his new romance: ‘I never thought I would feel this way again.’
The death of his wife was not the only tragedy he had to face.
On November 18, 1986, during the heyday of his success in Dallas, Duffy’s parents were murdered by two teenagers, Kenneth Miller and Sean Wentz, during an armed robbery of their liquor in a boulder in Montana.
Both were convicted and sentenced to 75 years in prison, although Miller was paroled in 2007 and Wentz was released in 2015.

Duffy is best known for starring in Dallas from 1978 to 1985 and from 1986 to 1991, where he played Bobby Ewing, brother of Larry Hagman’s JR Ewing.
His other major TV roles were ABC’s Step by Step (1991–1998) and the soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful from 2006 to 2011.
Most recently, he reprimanded his character in Dallas’ continued focus on the young pay generation, which ran from 2012–2014.
Pearl was best known as Ashley Fister in Season 10 of Happy Days in the early 1980’s.

She also featured the daughter of Andy Griffith’s title character in the first season of Matlock, and was occasionally featured on The Office Fees as Pam Beasley’s mother.
Purl has been married four times, first with Desi Arnaz Jr. from 1980-1981. She married screenwriter William Brolys Jr. in 1988, but their divorce was finalized in 1992.
Purle was married to another screenwriter, Alexander Carey, between 1993 and 1999, and her most recent marriage was to James Vinson Adams from 2006 to 2011.
Meanwhile, Patrick’s Dallas co-actress Linda Gray had some sad news to share on Monday.
The 80-year-old actress revealed on Instagram that her 56-year-old son Jeff Thrasher has passed away.

Linda shared a photo of the morning on Jeff’s bicycle on a street full of autumn leaves.
The front photo was drawn in the sand with his name around which the waves crashed in the background.
According to Soap Hub, Jeff was battling leukemia.
Jeff’s father is Ed Thrasher, with whom Linda was married from 1962 to 1983.

Linda got her fame in modeling when she played Sue Ellen Ewing opposite Larry Hagman in Dallas from 1978 to 1989.
Shyama’s beauty also worked with Sc Scar in 1991 and with Sylvester Stallone at Models Inc. from 1994 to 1995.
She returned to Dallas in 1996 and 1998 for spins and also appeared on reboots from 2012 to 2014.
