Cyberpunk 2077 third person mode

Cyberpunk 2077 is primarily a first-person game, in which players see the world of Knight City through the eyes of its protagonist V., but many players are wondering whether it is possible to play the game in third-person mode instead. Whether this guide will answer your questions A third person exists in Cyberpunk 2077, And how many games you can play from this perspective.

Cyberpunk 2077 Third Person Mode: Does It Exist?

Cyberpunk 2077 is a first person game. The third person position does not exist when you walk on foot; It only exists as an option when you are driving. So, if you want to play V’s story on their backs with a camera, I’m afraid you’ll be disappointed with CD Project Red’s long-term choice to make Cyberpunk 2077 a first-person game in its original location.

There are very few cutscenes in the whole story of Cyberpunk 2077 where you can see V without using a mirror. The purpose of CDPR was to keep Cyberpunk 2077 primarily in the first person’s game, to maximize the player’s sense of immersion. Most of the animations in the game were made with the first person in mind, and the third will probably look weird or broken in the third person.

How to go third person in cyberpunk 2077

That said, you have a lot of limited options to go third person in Cyberpunk 2077. The first is that you can toggle a third person on and off while driving any type of vehicle. Just press the cycle camera key (default “Q”) to switch between first-person and some different third-person options.

Sometimes, you may find that you are unable to get away from the first person while in the vehicle. This is a mistake, and JK has written a guide on how to resolve this issue.

Your only other option is to switch to photo mode if you want to see your custom-tailored V later. You can do this by hitting the photo mode button (defaults to “n”). Unfortunately, time will stop when in photo mode, which means – as you might expect – photo mode is only good for taking photos. You cannot actually play the game in the third person using this method. Check out our Cyberpunk 2077 Photo Mode Guide for more information.
