“Crisis!” Will resume production with Ken Jennings as the first interim host


“Gipardi” will resume production on November 30th, a few weeks after the show’s favorite host Alex Trebeck Died after a battle with pancreatic cancer, the show announced Monday. Former contestant Ken Jennings, best known for “putting himself in danger!” The player will serve as the first of a “series” of interim hosts before announcing a permanent replacement for the show’s trackback.

By bringing in familiar guest hosts for the foreseeable future, our goal is to create a sense of community and continuity for our viewers.”

The show, which has been distributed by ViacomCBS, said additional hosts will be announced next week.

Trebeck spent more than 35 years hosting the show before his death at the age of 80. In 2019, he was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer.

The show also announced that it will no longer air the final episode of Trekback during the holidays “due to the expected adventures around Christmas and New Year.” Instead, the episode will now air in the week of January 4, 2021, and the show, dubbed “The 10 Best Episodes,” will air in the weeks of December 21 and 28. The new guest-hosted episode will begin on January 11th.
