(June 30, 2020) Coweta County reported its largest single-day increase in new COVID-19 infections, from 647 on Monday to 667 on Tuesday, according to the Georgia Department of Public Health.
Coweta’s hospitalizations increased to 60 and her case rate per 100,000 residents increased to 425.66 (+13.15). Fifteen people have died from COVID-19 in Coweta County.
Across Georgia, the DPH reported 81,291 cases on Tuesday, 1,874 more than Monday and 2,805 deaths (+21). The DPH also reported a total of 11,051 hospitalizations (+227) since the crisis began and 2,323 admissions (+34) to intensive care units.
A total of 991,501 tests (+11,009) have been conducted for active and previous infections at management sites and facilities across the state, with a positive rate of 8.3 percent *.
