Frisco, Texas – The Dallas Cowboys today announced the club’s safe stadium policy for AT&T Stadium and the return of football during the NFL 2020 season.

“Bringing back football will require the ultimate team effort, and we are so proud of the hard work our frontline professionals have put into the stadium and across our organization to ensure our fans, players and staff have a safe and rewarding experience. The Dallas Cowboys value health and safety as our top priority, and we will continue to work closely with local public safety and public health professionals, the CDC and the NFL, to ensure our exceptional fan experience at AT&T Stadium is the safest and the best is possible. There will be many changes this year, and we are deeply grateful for the understanding and support of our dedicated fans. “

Several months ago, the Dallas Cowboys began a comprehensive and in-depth review of AT&T Stadium, team operations, and every aspect of the fan experience – from food and beverage service, to parking, ticketing, tailgating, medical services, transportation, and player safety. among many other areas. In the process, the Cowboys have worked hand-in-hand with the NFL, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the state of Texas, local public safety and public health officials – including medical and infected health care experts. disease communities – to ensure that the coming season has the safest fan experience. As part of this work and preparation in recent months, AT&T Stadium has received the prestigious GBAC STARTM accreditation from the Global Biorisk Advisory Council (GBAC), which receives the stadium for its best-in-class proactive practices in cleaning, disinfection, and prevention of infection.

There will be several major new changes this season with the fan experience at AT&T Stadium. These changes, which can be viewed on www.dallascowboys.com/safestadium include:

  • Limited stadium capacity. Capacity at AT&T Stadium will be limited to begin the 2020 season, in accordance with guidelines from the CDC, the state of Texas, local public safety and public health authorities. Fans are required to practice social distance inside and outside the AT&T Stadium, including parking lots, entrance queues and seating. With 15 dedicated entrances and exits, in addition to the 3 million square feet of club, concourse and corridor space, fans will have plenty of space to practice social distance. Weather permitting, the unique retreat of AT & T Stadium’s roof and end zone soils provides the ability to maximize fresh airflow through the building, along with the ability to circulate 840,000 cubic feet (CFM) of fresh air through its mechanical system. .
  • Mask policy. In accordance with the NFL and local public safety and health policies, all fans will be required to wear a mask when continuing their personal or public transportation to AT&T Stadium, including in stadium parking lots. In addition, all fans and stadium staff will be required to wear a mask at all times, unless they are actively eating or drinking or when younger than ten years.
  • Sitting. Cards will be divided into seating blocks, known as “pods” to keep distance between groups that are not known to each other. Fans are required to maintain the integrity of podcasts by only transferring cards to family or friends within their trusted group. Each ticket holder must have their own mobile card on their device.
  • Ticketing for mobile only. Beginning this season, all tickets at AT&T Stadium will be digital and available via fans’ mobile devices. Tickets purchased from the Dallas Cowboys will be available through the Dallas Cowboys or SeatGeek mobile app. To give a fan a contactless experience, there will be no more physical tickets.
  • Cashless Underfining. Beginning this season, all food, beverage, parking and retail will be a money-free experience. Large credit and debit cards, as well as mobile payments will be accepted at the AT&T Stadium.
  • Frictionless entrance. Fans will have uninterrupted access to stadium parking lots and will go through an uninterrupted security scan with 60 socially spaced metal detectors to enter the AT&T Stadium. We will take every step to ensure that interventions and exits at each of AT&T Stadium’s 15 entries are smooth, fast and safe.
  • Tailgating. Designated spaces for tailgating will be available in selected lots from AT&T Stadium. To promote physical distance, at the tailgating spots at least one space is required between parties and parties will not be allowed to come.
  • Stadium cleaning. AT&T Stadium will follow CDC guidelines and has consulted with outside medical and infectious disease experts to implement a thorough cleaning and disinfection plan using disposable microfiber cloths, disposable microfiber mop head and EPA registered products, including electrostatic and mist sprays. Procedures include cleaning and disinfecting prior to each event, as well as disinfecting high-touch point areas regularly throughout all events. Fans will have access to more than 300 additional hands-on rehabilitation stations located at the AT&T Stadium.
  • Personnel protocols. Our frontline stadium staff are working hard to prepare them for this season, and we will provide them with all possible assistance to help them safely do their job. This includes giving them special training to CDC recommended guidelines, as well as the personal protective equipment (PPE) needed to do their job, including masks and other specialized equipment. Vendors working at AT&T Stadium will abide by all stadium health and safety policies.
  • Food and drink. Staff at concession stands, catering rooms, and all bars will be trained on CDC recommended guidelines, wear personal protective equipment (PPE), follow improved procedures for hand washing and maintenance of food cleaning and sanitation protocols. All food items will be served in to-go containers along with pre-packaged disposable wares and spices.

In addition to health and safety, our other core value that guides us in this process is transparency. We want to do everything we can to help our fans understand the new procedures at AT&T Stadium.

AT&T Stadium will continue to guide local public health policy guidelines and protocols and will improve Safe Stadium policy as needed. Check back for the latest on AT&T Stadium’s safe stadium policies www.dallascowboys.com/safestadium.
