Cowboys release security ha ha Clinton-Dixon after adding to free agency

FRISCO, Texas – The Dallas Cowboys on Thursday released P Te Safety Ha Ha Clinton-Dix.

In March, the Cowboys signed a one-year, 3. 75 3.75 million deal with Clinton-Dix, which includes a બો 1.25 million signing bonus. The team also guaranteed million 1 million in its પગ 2.25 million base salary, but the move frees $ 1.5 million in the cap room.

Clinton-Dix started a training camp with first-team defense, but was quickly spotted by Dyren Thompson. Clinton-Dix spent some five seasons playing with Cowboys coach Mike Marcarty with the Green Bay Packers before trading in 2018 and 2018 in Washington. He played last season for the Chicago Bears.

The Cowboys were interested in Clinton-Dicks because of his ability to carry the ball away (16 career interruptions), but he did not meet expectations at camp.

By cutting off Clinton-Dix, the Cowboys should assume that Xavier Woods’ groin injury is not serious enough to keep him away from the Sept. 13 regular-season opener. Woods, who suffered Sunday’s injury, has not practiced.

In addition to Woods and Thompson, the Cowboys have Donovan Wilson and Luther Kirk in safety, but Cornbachs Daryl Worley, Chidobuzuzi, Reggie Robinson and Savian Smith have some security at the training camp.

The move also creates a need for safety and could trigger discussions about Earl Thomas, who was released on Aug. 23 by the Baltimore Ravens for harmful behavior to the team.

The Cowboys and Thomas have been engaged since early 2017, when he walked hand in hand with Jason Garrett in the Dallas locker room, telling the then-coach, “Come to me.” The Cowboys made a trade offer to the Seattle Seahawks in 2018 that was hit. Before the Caveboys joined the Ravens, they did not make a serious bid to sign Thomas as a free agent in 2019.

The Cowboys had an internal discussion concerning Thomas after his introduction, but they did not proceed to sign with him.
