A fifth Humboldt County resident has died after being diagnosed with COVD-19.
The man was in his 70s and passed out at a medical facility in the area in the first week of September. Public health was notified by the California Reportable Disease Information Exchange, known as K DI Lardei, because the man held permanent residence in Humboldt County, but did not live in the county at the time of his death.
After five new cases were reported today, county residents confirmed the total number of people infected with the virus. Is 447.
