Press release from Humboldt County Joint Information Center

A total of 99 county residents have tested positive for COVID-19 after seven cases were reported today.

Humboldt County Health Officer Dr. Teresa Frankovich encouraged residents to get tested early if they are experiencing symptoms of COVD-19. “Early detection is best to be effective in controlling the spread of covid.” “Contact your healthcare provider and get tested as soon as you become ill.”

For those who do not have a health care provider, please contact the Joint Information Center at 707-441-5000 for assistance. “Getting tested early when you’re sick and getting regular tests when you’re not sick helps find COVID-19 early, which helps keep everyone in our community safe,” said Dr. Frankovich added.

Symptoms of COVID-19 may include cough, fever, headache, sore throat, vomiting, diarrhea, and / or loss of taste or smell. For a complete list of features, go to cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/sy Features-testing / sy Features.html.
