Humboldt County Joint Information Center Press Release:

Humboldt County’s confirmed COVID-19 case count now stands at 205, after two new cases were reported today.

Humboldt County’s alert level increased to level three due to recent increases in the case count per 100,000 residents, measured over a 14-day period. Although the increase does not place us on the state County Monitoring List, which would lead to additional closings and business modifications, Dr. Teresa Frankovich, Humboldt County Health Officer, expressed concern about this recent trend and said that it should change.

“Right now, it becomes increasingly important that people are really helping through the use of facial covers, social distancing, hand sanitizing and staying close to home,” said Dr. Frankovich. “To reduce the case rate, protect our community, and allow us to stay off the county’s watch list, we really need to cooperate as a community and eliminate those numbers.”
