An 18M The Humboldt County resident died after testing positive for Covid-19, and an additional 45 cases of the virus have been confirmed since a recent report on Wednesday. The total number of county residents who tested positive for the virus now stands at 1,584.

The deceased was in his 90s and a resident of the Grenada Rehabilitation and Wellness Center. Humboldt County Health Officer Dr. Ian Hoffman said public health offers sympathy to the family and friends of those who have lost a loved one to the virus.
