The state of California has allocated 4,640 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine to Humboldt County for next week. That’s a reduction of 2,270 doses from the previous week’s allotment.
Of those doses, 1,700 belong to Moderna, 2,340 to Pfizer and 600 to Johnson & Johnson. Humboldt County Public Health will use 1,510 moderna and 930 Pfizer doses at five large-scale vaccination clinics planned for next week. The remaining doses will be distributed to other valid local receptors.
The state requires counties to transition to a new system called My Turn to register when vaccination appointments become available. Log in to Myturn.ca.gov. More information about the local implementation will be released next week.

A total of 3,492 Humboldt County residents tested positive for COVID-19 after three new cases were reported today.
