GREAT FALLS – Health officials added 129 new cases of COVID-19 to the Montana Response COVID-19 Tracking Map, and there are three new deaths.
Note: The numbers reported by the state each day sometimes differ from those reported by county public health departments due to periodic delays in submitting data to the state. The data below is from the official Montana website.
- TOTAL CASES AND RECOVERIES: Now there has been 3,039 cumulative cases statewide, and 1,815 people have recovered from the virus.
- HOSPITALIZATIONS There are currently 56 hospitalized patients. Has been 191 hospitalizations for COVID-19 since the pandemic began.
- ACTIVE CASES: The state reports that there is currently 1,178 active cases of COVID-19 in Montana.
- TESTS: The number of tests increased by 2,982 during the previous 24-hour reporting period, for a new cumulative statewide total of 149,200.
- DEAD: The cumulative number of deaths in Montana is now 46. The most recent death was reported in Glacier County, and the Blackfeet Tribal Business Council shared on Facebook: “The Blackfeet Tribe acknowledges the death of a tribal member who contacted COVID-19 and had been hospitalized. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family. “
CASCADA COUNTY: Cascade County reported its highest one-day total, with 20 new cases; 17 of those cases are people between the ages of 20 and 39. There has been a cumulative total of 101 confirmed cases in Cascade County; Of these, 42 have recovered, 57 are currently active, and two patients have died.
The City and County Health Department at Great Falls says the new cases are either attributed to community spread or have been found through contact tracing and that, as in previous cases, these people have been isolated and Contact investigations are ongoing.
