Costco sells COVID-19 tests that you can take from the comfort of your own home.
The retailer sells home tests that allow customers to test for coronavirus through saliva samples, rather than inserting swabs into their noses for samples. The Covid-19 saliva PCR test kit costs $ 130 on Costco.com. Costaco charges an additional ડ 10 for the same kit with video surveillance and assistance.
According to test manufacturer P23, the tests are 98% sensitive and 99% specific. (Sensitivity is the probability that the test will produce a true positive feedback, while specificity is the probability that the test will produce a true negative.)

To take the test, users collect their saliva samples by spitting into a tube. These saliva ducts are sent to the test center in return-shipping boxes, which are included as part of the kit. According to Costco, test results are available online or online within 24 to 48 hours.
The official name of the test is P23 Labs Takpath SARS-KOVI-2 AS. The trial version of Costco is administered by the digital-health group Azova.

Dodge reports that hundreds of tests for the novel coronavirus have been performed in the U.S. alone. Emergency clearance has been received from the Food and Drug Administration to send people home. The P23 test, sold at Costco, is one of the few to make the cut.
Companies have been fighting to develop cheap and fast tests that people can administer at home. Experts say repeated testing can help identify asymptomatic people before they expose others to coronavirus.
