Restaurants, pubs and other hospitality businesses may be shut down or asked to close a few weeks early to prevent a surge in coronavirus cases. England Out of control as part of a national “circuit break”.
According to the BBC’s political editor Laura Queensburgh, the measures are being considered, as more than 300 new cases were reported on Thursday, doubling the number of virus cases every seven to eight days.
Schools and workplaces will remain open but there will be a “circuit break” in the hospitality business – essentially closing their doors or changing their opening hours for a few weeks.

Two thousand ultra-rhetoric Jews are being barred from entering Ukraine by armed guards for the annual visit to the rabbi’s tomb, which forms a makeshift camp on the country’s border with Belarus.
The men ignored warnings from Ukrainian officials not to travel after its borders closed late last month in an attempt to stem the spread of Kovid-19.
On Thursday, an official with an Ukrainian Interior Ministry official reiterated that pilgrims would not be allowed to cross the border. “Ukraine has closed its borders to foreigners, and there will be no exceptions for Hasidic. [ultra-Orthodox] Pilgrims, ”said Mikhailo Apostol. “It’s getting cold and we suggest they … go home.”
Israel’s Minister of Higher Education, Ziev Elkin, appealed to the men to leave the border.

Indonesia Says its average daily mortality from coronavirus is 105 cases – a 25% increase from last week.
Kovid Taskforce spokesman Viku Adisasmito also announced that as of September 17, more than 122 people had died from the virus, bringing the death toll in Indonesia to 9,222.
The virus has killed more than 100 people in Indonesia for most of September, as the death toll continues to rise, topping the 139 reported on July 22.
Adisamito also said that there are now 56,570 active cases in the country.
