Conor McGregor announces engagement to Dee Devlin

Conor McGregor married his longtime girlfriend, Dee Devlin, he announced on Instagram on Saturday.

McGregor posted a photo of him and Devlin – who are playing a massive ring – with the caption, “What a birthday, my future wife!” Devlin’s 33rd birthday is on Sunday.

McGregor, 32, has two children with Devlin, Conor Jack McGregor Jr., who was born in May 2017, and Croia McGregor, born in January 2019.

The pair have been together since 2008, sharing the meteoric rise of McGregor from a plumber and amateur fighter to the most famous MMA fighter around the world. McGregor has repeatedly cited Devlin as an enormous reason for his success, calling her his ‘queen’. Devlin also plays a role in several of McGregor’s companies.

McGregor was congratulated on the news by his longtime coach, John Kavanagh, and teammate, Dillon Dannis.

In June, McGregor announced his retirement for the third time in his career, thanking fans for their support. Mines in the MMA sector expect the decision to stick, although the former two-division champion will not fight again this year, according to UFC President Dana White.

McGregor returned to the octagon in January after a year-plus dismissal with an initial victory of stoppage over Donald Cerrone. He called for a rematch with champion Khabib Nurmagomedov, who submitted him in 2018, and invited fines with Jorge Masvidal and Anderson Silva. White opened up the possibility that he could be the winner of an upcoming title unifier between Nurmagomedov and interim champion Justin Gaethje, which will take place at UFC 254 in October.
