On Tuesday, the Biden campaign was the center of a joke after unveiling its latest push to reach out to young voters.
The Verge reports that only Biden and Kamala Harris have joined the popular Nintendo Switch video game “Animal Crossing: New Horizon.” Trying to mark its location on the virtual territory.
In the game, players are able to download campaign yard signs to levy their assets. Signs include the classic “Biden Harris,” and “Team Only,” as well as the “Only” Pride logo.
“Animal Crossing is a dynamic, diverse and powerful platform that brings communities around the world together,” the Beaden campaign director told The Verge. Our campaign is an exciting new opportunity for Biden-Harris supporters to join and engage in creating and decorating their islands. “

“As we enter the final campaign in November, we voters are looking for new creative and innovative ways to meet them and this is one way to bring our supporters together,” said Christian Tom, director of the Biden Campaign Digital Partnership.
Although it is unclear how popular this new campaign effort is among “Animal Crossing” players, critics have ridiculed the Democratic ticket.
“Biden’s campaign will now spend more time in alternative reality than in Wisconsin,” said Zach Parkinson, the Trump campaign’s deputy communications director.

“On Pokemon Go to Debate Healthcare,” Emma Wigland of The Young Turks urged candidates.
“Animal in the Street Crossing to F Paul,” comedian Mike Drucker joked.
