A few minutes before 4:00 pm this Saturday it was confirmed that a small private plane with two crew members left one of the runways of the Manizales airport and overturned.
Minutes later, the airport of the coffee department was closed. However, this decision did not have major consequences in the operation of the air terminal since By then the last flight to Bogotá had already taken off. This Sunday, operations there will resume as normal.
In any case, at this time, Aerocivil personnel carry out the respective investigations to determine why it was that the ultralight capsized after leaving one of the runways.
As established by Radio Nacional de Colombia, Manizales Firefighters attended the emergency and learned that the people involved in the accident were a tenant of one of the airport hangars and his pilot, who were preparing to carry out a local overflight. When they were about to land, the plane made some turns on the runway and finally stopped its march, overturned, in a green area.
