This January 24, the massacre of five youths in the Cerro Rico village of the Chambimbal district, municipality of Buga in Valle del Cauca.
According to El Tiempo, the young people arrived with the son of Wilson Alberto Pérez Murillo, who owns the farm where the massacre occurred, at 7 p.m. on Saturday, January 23, to, according to his account to the Prosecutor’s Office, to share in family.
Around 2:00 am, three men arrived with firearms asking for Murillo’s son, since apparently they intended to kidnap the boy or attempt against his life.
The men entered the property and found the youths in a jacuzzi, and right there they were shot, they were all hit by bullets, four died instead, a fifth arrived very badly wounded to the hospital, to die hours later.
The other four victims were identified as Juan Pablo Marín Pérez, Nicolás Suárez Valencia, Sara María Rodríguez García. These three young men were 18 years old. A 17-year-old minor who was identified as Valentina also died.
Hours before the attack, Sara María Rodríguez, who was the daughter of a doctor who works at the Divino Niño hospital in Buga. He uploaded a video of them chatting with their friends.
Other young people posted photos in their stories, where they are seen playing pool and sharing with their friends before the tragedy.
The governor of Valle, Clara Luz Roldán, rejected the events that occurred and offered a reward of $ 150 million pesos for information that allows the capture of those responsible for the attack.
To these resources, another $ 50 million are added that the Mayor of Buga made available to find the location of the criminals.
President Iván Duque was concerned and ordered General Eduardo Zapateiro, commander of the Army, and Major General Jorge Luis Vargas, national director of the Police, to hold an extraordinary security council.

At around noon this Sunday, the security council was initiated in Buga, according to General Zapateiro, who has kept the public aware of how the case is going through which they are working to find those responsible for this heinous crime.
“The Army will have the troops stationed in the general area of Buga, in order, in coordination with the National Police and the Prosecutor’s Office, to find those responsible for this crime. Likewise, on behalf of the members of the Force, express condolences to the families, ”the commander wrote.
This is the second massacre that has been perpetrated in the Colombian Pacific so far in 2021 and that already leaves 7 dead. In Colombia, there have been 6 massacres so far this year.
