The transition team of President-elect Joe Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris announced that their agenda for the first day will include the signing of presidential decrees.
On Tuesday night, the Biden-Harris transition team unveiled the schedule for his first day in office, which also includes a press conference at the White House at 7 p.m. by press secretary Jen Psaki.
Biden will also swear in “the first day presidential appointees” in a virtual ceremony, according to a press release.
Here’s a look at Wednesday’s schedule (Miami time):
8:45 am: Biden, Harris and their spouses attend a church service at the Cathedral of St. Matthew the Apostle.
Noon: Biden and Harris are sworn in.
2:25 pm: Biden and Harris visit the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at Arlington National Cemetery, Virginia.
5:15 pm: Biden signs presidential decrees and other measures.
5:45 pm: Biden swears in the presidential appointees in a virtual ceremony.
8:48 pm: Biden and Harris will deliver messages on the inaugural “Celebrating America” program.
