Medellín: Antioquia enters a night curfew – Medellín – Colombia

With an occupation of 91.5% of ICU beds, in Antioquia restrictive measures and now it will enter a night curfew in its 125 municipalities.

This was announced by the Governor of Antioquia, Aníbal Gaviria, who explained that “social discipline” must continue.

Under this scenario, the curfew will be from this Wednesday, January 20, from 10:00 pm to Tuesday, January 26. But it will not be continuous, which means that each day the restriction will be from 10:00 pm to 5:00 am the next day.

On the other hand, from Thursday, January 21, the peak and certificate will continue for the municipalities of the Aburrá Valley and the Near East, and it will be until Tuesday, January 26. This is to enter commercial establishments and banks, but hotels and restaurants are excluded.

Remember that an odd day is for odd cards and an even day for cards ending in even.

“The purpose of these unified measures is always the defense, protection and care of life,” Gaviria said, adding that “With these moderate measures we seek to maintain the pace of the economy and at the same time contain the spread of covid-19.”

Next Monday, January 25, new measures would be taken for that week.

According to the departmental president, “decisions are always made according to the measurements and information that epidemiologists give us.”
