The mayor (E) of Bogotá, Luis Ernesto Gómez, has just announced that due to the increase in occupancy of ICUs-Covid in the last hours, they are evaluating measures to expand hospital capacity and reduce the rate of contagion.
“Our Crue works on emergency referrals to Kennedy, Engativá and Tunjuelito hospitals,” explained the official in charge.

The implementation of new measures by locality is a plan that had previously been applied to Bogotá. According to Gómez, Usaquén, Suba and Engativá have presented the highest level of contagion that today pressures their hospital occupation.
“Some patients who required ICU there are being referred to other locations. Intensive care care will be guaranteed to those who require it, ”he said.
At this time, the mayor in charge with his work team is preparing the decree to make known specifically what the measures and the affected localities will be.
