América de Cali is the new champion of Colombian professional soccer after beating Independiente Santa Fe on the aggregate scoreboard in the final with a score of 3-2 in an emotional final. The scarlet team envisions a great 2021 with the participation in the Copa Libertadores, the defense of the two-time championship and the Super League.
Precisely, The Super League is a great unknown in this atypical Colombian soccer season on account of the pandemic. Only one tournament was played in the year and therefore only one champion, so it was thought that in 2021 there would be no Super League (a tournament that normally faces the two champions of the year), but its development was confirmed at the last Dimayor assembly .

The 2021 Super League will face América de Cali as champion of the 2020 Betplay League against Santa Fe as the best team of the 2020 reclassification; thus having a small rematch of the final of the final just played.
Regarding the dates of the Super League, in the Dimayor assembly it was agreed that the directors of the clubs in question will agree on the dates for these matches to be played, seeking that it does not have a crossover with the Copa Libertadores commitments, so it would be before April (when the group phase begins). It will be a round trip with the first match at El Campín de Bogotá and the return match at Pascual Guerrero de Cali.

It should be noted that the Superliga no longer grants a place to Copa Sudamericana as a few years ago and it only has as a prize the addition of a new official trophy to the showcases of the clubs and an economic incentive for the champion.
