With the return of the peak and ID card to Bogotá, which will run until January 15 and will regulate the capacity of shops and processing points, there are those who wonder if the peak and plate will be maintained.
After all, many citizens have stated that the measures intersect and, therefore, despite having the option of a vehicle, they would end up having to use a taxi, public transport or pedestrian mobility to make certain purchases and procedures.
For example, if it is December 21 and you have a vehicle license plate of a pair, you can go out and drive; but if your ID is odd, this prevents you from entering commercial establishments that day. That is, he has his car, but he cannot go to the supermarket.
And, in itself, figuring out what to do when the measurements intersect is pretty confusing.

Although the District had initially ruled out lifting the peak and plate in December, they appear to be reconsidering.
This Tuesday, the Secretary of Mobility, Nicolás Estupiñán, confirmed to Citytv that it is evaluating whether it is possible to raise the pick and plate. “We are analyzing If after December 24, type December 26, until the first week of January we can lift it, taking into account that there are other types of restrictions on the movement of people, ”said Estupiñán.

For now, there is pick and plate. But, there is a plan B that you could go to to avoid crossing the rules.
This is going to the ‘shared car’ exception that works like this:
How many people should go?
In order not to have a pick and plate, a minimum of three people must be in the car (but there can be more). On the bill, include the driver.
Do babies and children count or do they not count as passengers for the quota?
Yes, the account for the three people (or more) includes babies, children and people of all ages.
Do pets count as passengers for the quota?
No. Pets are not considered as a passenger to fill the quota and get the exception.
What other requirements must I meet?
– Not having pending subpoenas. Be safe and secure.
– Have the Soat in force.
– Have the certificate of the Technical-Mechanical Review in force.
– Always carry the valid documents of the driver and the vehicle: driver’s license and property card.
Must all passengers always go?
Yes, carpooling must be from beginning to end of the trip. In other words, you cannot leave the full quota and go down the road.
Do i have to register? Or can I go out with my quota and now?
To be exempt from pick and plate per shared car, you must register here (a video will appear that you must watch until the end to access the registration system)
The website will ask you for some very simple information that will be deleted every weekend.
