Antioquia, Atlántico, Córdoba, Norte de Santander and Valle del Cauca are some of the departments that decreed a curfew for the Christmas and New Year holidays. Find out what are the hours these measures apply.

Governors and mayors of various departments of the country have taken measures to prevent Christmas celebrations from becoming a source of coronavirus contagion, at a time when cases are on the rise in several cities. The curfew and the dry law are the most common measures in the regions.

In Antioquia, Governor Aníbal Gaviria, adopted measures. As of December 22 and until January 4, 2021, Antioquia will be on a hospital red alert. The night curfew began to be in effect between 00:00 and 6:00 in the morning, from Wednesday, December 23 to January 3.

There will also be a continuous curfew on Christmas and New Year’s Eve celebrations: from 8:00 p.m. on December 24 to 6:00 a.m. on December 26 and from 8:00 p.m. December 31 until 6:00 a.m. on January 2. The curfew on the Cauca’s Valley It will extend its hours from this Friday, December 25, and will run until January 4, 2021. These measures will be in force throughout the department from December 25 to January 4, except for Cali and Buenaventura. The measure will take effect now from 8:00 pm each day until 5:00 am the next.

In Cali, Mayor Jorge Iván Ospina extended the curfew measures and the dry law, which begins this Thursday, December 24, until January 4, 2021. Both measures will continue at the same times, at 10:00 at night the dry law begins and at 11:00 at night the curfew, until 5:00 in the morning the next day. There will only be exception on December 27, the day of the match between América and Santa Fe for the end of the Colombian Soccer League, where both restrictions will start from 9:00 at night.

In cordoba They decreed a curfew on Christmas and New Years. Orlando Benítez, governor of Córdoba, confirmed the measure in all municipalities, to avoid coronavirus infections. The measure will be applied at night from 10:00 pm to 6:00 am, on December 24 and 25, on December 31 of this year and on January 1, 2021.

In Norte de Santander, The Government decreed the night curfew measure to mitigate the contagion of coronavirus during the celebrations of December 24 and 31. A total curfew was decreed from December 25 to 27 and from January 31 to 3, 2021. The restriction will be from 7 pm to 5 am each day.
