With car whistles and a candle, the inhabitants of Rionegro asked for justice for the death of the girl Sofía Cadavid, occurred at dawn on Friday in that municipality of eastern Antioquia.
The first activity took place in one of the main streets, in which dozens of people in vehicles blew their whistles and some waved white flags. There was the municipal mayor, Rodrigo Hernández Alzate.

“We join the pain of Sofía’s family and all Colombians who are dismayed by this unfortunate loss,” said the local president.

Later, A candlelight was held in the square of the Holy Spirit of the El Porvenir neighborhood, in Rionegro, where the little girl lived.
Justice, justice! The attendees shouted that on Friday night they came to honor the memory of the 18-month-old girl, who would have died at the hands of her father, Diego Armando Cadavid.

Cadavid Álvarez was captured on Friday morning by the CTI of the Prosecutor’s Office with the support of the Sijín and the National Army and the charges brought by a sectional prosecutor of Antioquia were not acquiesced.
In versions to a local media, the girl’s father had said that he was disoriented and that he did not murder his daughter.

At 2:00 pm on Saturday, the funeral of Sofía Cadavid will be held. It will be at the Cathedral of Saint Nicholas the Great. The mayor of Rionegro, Rodrigo Hernández, will also be there.
