According to the Great Pyme Survey (GEP) “by gender, the owner (or the person in charge of making the most important business decisions) is a man in most SMEs”. In the case of industry, for example, the proportion is 61% men and 39% women in these high positions; in commerce, 59% men and 41% women; and in the services line the balance is 67% men and 33% women. The figures speak of the inclusion and closing of gaps in leadership positions as another task for the small company as well, as for the medium one.
· According to the most recent data from the Dane Social Pulse report, in September 83.6% of companies in the country were operating normally.
· By sectors, the incidence of this indicator was 92.1% for commerce; 89.8% for the manufacturing industry; 71.5% services; 71.1% construction.
· When asked about the reduction in workers or hours worked as an effect of the pandemic, 19% reported having suffered it.
· To 53.7% the demand was reduced; 49.5% decreased cash flow; 20.7% had difficulty accessing financial services; and 11.8% input problems.
