The crime occurred when the spouses, aboard a Ford Fusion, stopped on the road, meters ahead of the La Gazapa bridge in the direction of Los Libertadores Avenue, attending to the red light of a traffic light.
At that moment, two hitmen arrived on a motorcycle, from which one of them got out and started shooting at his victims, according to witnesses.
The accounts show that a dozen shots were heard and several cartridges were scattered around the car. The criminals left quickly before the stunned gaze of drivers and passersby.
Apparently, the husband of ‘La Carriedo’ had already been the victim of an attack last month.
The Cúcuta Police are carrying out the respective investigations to identify those responsible for this act of hired gunmen that shocked the capital of Norte de Santander.
